International Multidimensional Engine Modeling User's Group Meeting
at the SAE Congress
April 3, 2017
400 Renaissance Drive, Detroit, MI 48243
Cray Inc. is sponsoring the International Multidimensional Engine Modeling User's Group Meeting at the SAE Congress, organized in association with University of Wisconsin-Madison and Michigan Technological University, in Detroit Downtown at 12:00 - 6:00 pm on April 3, 2017. This time and place is chosen because it is expected that many engine modeling code users will be attending the Society of Automotive Engineers Congress and Exhibition to be held in Detroit, Michigan, on April 4-6, 2017. The purpose of the conference is to encourage the exchange of information about engine modeling and to help promote the use of engine modeling by the engine industry.
This meeting will accept papers which feature applications of CFD codes and the development of novel submodels for engine simulations. The agenda of the meeting will be available on March 8, 2017 at https://imem.cray.com/agenda.html. The archive papers of 2008-2016 meetings can be found at: https://imem.cray.com/papers.html.
Presentations may encompass applications of CFD codes in the real engine geometry, development of innovative submodels for engine processes, and integration of CFD codes with other simulation tools for new engine designs. Applications of commercial packages by code users, e.g., Star-CD, FIRE, Fluent, Vectis, FORTE, CONVERGE, OpenFOAM, etc., to engine simulations are especially welcome.
The presentations will end at approximately 6:00 pm and the meeting will be followed by a reception. Registration fee is $150 US on or before March 27, 2017. An additional fee of $50 US will be charged for later registrations. The registration fee is to help defray the cost for the reception and facilities. Included in the fee will be a bound copy of the presentation abstracts which will be distributed to the registrants. If you plan to attend the meeting, you may register on-line at: https://imem.cray.com/ registration.html. Please complete a registration form regardless of whether you wish to present a paper.
Important deadlines are:
January 25, 2017: Offer of presentation (by email to email@example.com with proposed paper title and authors)
March 1, 2017: Extended Abstract Due (by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, no more than 6 pages with page size of 8.5 inches times 11 inches in MS Word or PDF format)
